• Perform credit analysis and reviews for customers

SAUDI NATIONALS WANTED TO WORK ON THE WORLD’S LARGEST ALUMINIUM SMELTER.


The Maaden Aluminum Company (a joint venture of Maaden and Alcoa) has selected Bechtel (Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company - SABCO) as engineering, procurement, and construction manager for the Ras Az Zawr Aluminum Smelter Project.


This will be Saudi Arabia’s first-ever aluminum smelter and the cornerstone of the Ras Az Zawr Minerals Industrial City, which will be the Kingdoms aluminum and phosphate hub.
Located 90 kilometers north of AL JUBAIL on the Arabian Gulf coast, the smelter will have a capacity of
740,000 metric tons of aluminum per year.

The facilities being constructed include two pot lines (360 pots each), a carbon plant for producing anodes, port and material handling facilities, and an integrated cast house. Construction on the project has begun and is scheduled for completion in December 2013.
